Hi there and welcome,

in respect of your alloy wheels, it is adivisable to go for stronger wheels but bear in mind that commercially rated alloy wheels are designed to take the gross weight of the van, this means the van plus its maximum permissable payload, I doubt any camper conversion would carry the maximum payload all the time.

If the wheels are rated at 700kg each this would mean they can carry a total load of 2.8 metric tonnes. Remember that a class seven LT35 for example or transit twin wheel (cant believe I mentioned the transit!!!)has a gross weight of 3.5 metric tonnes

it is however advisable to get good quality, as you get what you pay for.

Hope this helps regards Steve.

Hi, also from Scotland, north east, 30 miles south of Aberdeen, anyone know of a good reliable place to get cam belt and water pump replaced.
