to change the AC control valve on the AC pump/compressor , the one held in by a CirClip .
Do you have to DeGass the system ? Anybody Done without doing that?
1. As one person thought did not have to if it was in closed position and no cold air coming through ?
2. another person...
I have an underslung LPG tank install near spare wheel and a HSE2000 heater underslung beneath the drivers seat, and a BBQ point to the rear of the van.
For various reasons I have decided to build a "pod" at the rear which will allow the hob and sink to be pulled out when required.
Morning folks, hope you're all well and keeping your distance!
Full lock down in France, so tackling some jobs.
The submersible pump for my sink unit has died and I need to disconnect the gas hob to get to it (or maybe work out a way to take off the water tank?)
Anyhow, I've come across the gas...
If Carlsberg sold secondhand Propex Heaters, this is probably the best one you'll see for a very long time.
In fact, if you've been thinking of buying one for a while, then now's the time to do it - whilst the sun's splitting the pavements and nobody's thinking of preparing for winter.
I have a 2012 T5.1 84hp. The glow plug light started flashing the other day so I took it to my local garage to have the codes scanned. I was told that the exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 4 was faulty and needed replacing.
Does anyone know the part number for sensor 4?
I've just changed the gas system on my T4 so I'm selling my Campingaz 907 bottle (half full) along with 2 regulators and 2 hoses and carry cap. All are working perfectly.
I bought the extra regulator and hose to be fitted as I was having the system pressure tested by an engineer 6...
I'm looking for ideas on how to connect a calor gas bottle on the outside of the van to a stove on the inside.
I've seen conversions that use a bbq quarter turn type connector, which sits behind a square plastic flap on the side of the van.
I'm however wondering if anyone has an...
Following on from my "service in Cardiff" thread I actually read the fault codes instead of just clearing them and hoping the fault goes away.
This is what vcds has found.

Hi out there, I have a kitchen that goes across the back of my T5. I have a smev 9222 on top of my kitchen unit. I want to locate my gas bottle where the jack usually sits. (Rear of n/s wheel arch). Questions: Has anybody located there gas bottle here and cut a hole in the floor for venting...
I am looking into the various options for cookers in my van conversion. I am designing the unit so that the cooker sits in a type of sliding draw that will pull out the back of the rear side unit below the open tailgate. Our main reason for this is to avoid doing all the cooking...
Look like the ticket for me because they are mobile and most of all CHEAP.
I know they eat oxygen and release water vapor..
But how dangerous are they realy?
If I open the window? How much open?
If I just run the fan from the T5 to provide (cold) air circulation with the contact on, would that...
Hi guys I was wondering if any of you knew of any gas engineers near Bristol that could also provide a certificate for their work and make sure it's safe? I had a conversion company fit out be back of my vanish year including gas and they did a shoddy job. The gas pipe goes across the chamber at...
I have an Electrolux 212a fridge in my T4 campervan when I turn the gas on, hold the button in and press the ignition button I hear the gas try to ignite but I have no way of knowing if the pilot light has lit as there does not appear to somewhere to see the flame. Am I missing something ? :ILU:
What would you change if you were starting over again.
I am interested in finding out what you have learned now you have refitted or converted your van.
I am looking forward to your comments.
Cheers John Mod
Having read various differing views on gas safety and requirements I thought I would ask the experts. An article in MMM Motorhome Monthly Magazine a few months ago provided the contact list and this is what I sent on the 19th March:
It was sent to these people :
I am currently nearing the end of my first T4 conversion and have come across a bit of a query in relation to whether it is mandatory to have a sealed metal gas locker to store the gas cylinder in?
After seeing some of the conversions on this site it seems that most people dont seem to bother...
My Insurance says I must have a CORGI registered engineer install or check my SMEV and Orange hose to regulator to gas bottle.:(
Also I see that CORGI is being phased out and going to Gase Safe Register.
I have put in caravan and found some guys on there and...
