So after having our beloved campervan written off by someone crashing into the side of it :blg we're now in the process of a complete new van conversion :jiggy
Now we do a LOT of winter wild camping in the Scottish highlands and one thing we wished we'd had on our previous van was heating! As...
has anyone done something using the engine coolant as a heat source for a shower etc
a well insulated container with a water to water heat exchanger i it and also a 12V heating element.
the drive there gets it hot and a solar/leisure battery/hook up keeps it hot? or not.
I am putting a shower in the van and struggling to find a decent hot water heater and components.
I have looked at a carver unit but generally speaking it's just out of my range so I have been looking at alternatives such as http://www.campertrailers.org/water_heater.htm.
