I popped my Reimo roof the other day after a fair while of it not being used and found a section of the canvas has unattached itself from the roof. The staples have simply come out. Any advice on repair options for this?
Not sure how long a warranty period would be but it's only 4...
Just seeking out anyone who has had experience of Reimo Active rails. These are the roof bar rails that can be fixed to a Reimo poptop.
I've been told they can be used on most pop tops and I have an Austop. I'd like to be able to carry paddleboards and this looks the best option.
I'm relatively new to the Westfalia world and recently got a 1993 T4 in Spain. I noticed one of the bolts of the pop top is out and the hinge is slightly bent. The top still goes up and is usable, but I'd like to repair this.
Does anyone know how to fix this?:*
Hi, I’m new to the forum having just acquired a second hand T5 which I plan to convert to a camper. I’m considering the pros and cons of putting in a pop top roof. Apart from the obvious cost (£2500 seems to be as cheap as it gets) I was wondering if anyone could let me know any of the down...

I've just got a 100w solar panel which we're going to mount on the pop top, but in a way that is removable so that we can stick the panel in the sun as required on a 5m extension.
Currently looking at reimo rails or similar for which we can build a frame that will allow the panel to slide in...
Hoping someone might be able to help me as, so far I cannot find any useful information on the web.
I bought my T5 poptop van not long ago and have noticed that the rear scissor hinges are quite rusty which is preventing the roof from full closing. aroung a 5mm gap is visible when the...
Had my T4 for almost 8 years now, it's still a mostly unaltered panel van. Full width R&R and a kitchen pod I built that extends out under the tailgate. It's served us well.
Paint is now flaking off all over so it needs a respray. We're also considering nippers in the near future so the fact it...
Quite new to the scene! I have had a few quotes for a poptop and was hoping for any opinions / experience with the following:
Buspoke camper conversions
Thanks in advance! :)
Hi I'm after some advice, I had a roof partially fitted by EXPLORER CAMPER CONVERSIONS in Halifax back in December, the problem I have is that upon arrival I was told that the roof canvas had not turned up, this would be posted to me as soon as it was delivered, after numerous phone calls and...
I've just ordered an SCA 194 roof and want to get a jump on the prep work.
All the instructions available for download are for the older 190/192 etc.
Does anyone know if the cut out for a 194 is the same as shown in the instructions for the other models?
Thanks very much indeed for...
This is our first post as we get ready to convert our T5 SWB, and we're looking into getting a pop top fitted by Chris at Affordable Body Kits in Salisbury. He manufactures his own and it all looks pretty good, but we're first timers and are not 100% if we should go with an independent...
Anyone had any experience with getting an SCA roof from Banwy?
After paying all in advance through my local VW converter they don't seem very helpful. No answering emails at all which is unbelievably frustrating as they're now 2 weeks late after their 'latest' delivery date meaning I may well...
Can't seem to find any info about the types of roof bars available to fit to reimo active rails on a poptop. Can anyone point me in the right direction? - Either a link, or a bit of advice.
Surely there's more options than just:
- Karitek (reasonable price, but noisey when driving)
As it says, I have money towards either of these but was hoping that someone does the 0% finance on them so that I can get a pop top roof fitted in the van it's the one thing I'd love which would mean that all four of us could sleep in it and it would mean it could be used a lot more in the...
Bought as a panel van in July - Been converting her ever since and have the knobbly knees to prove it. Big thanks to all in this forum for advice and ideas, it has been an invaluable resource, hopefully I can put some of my experience back in now :jiggy
I'm thinking of putting a Westdubs poptop on my T5. I didn't think I could afford a poptop at this stage, but I'm blown away by the price of westdubs and he seems to have lots of good reviews here.
Is there anyone in London who has had a Westdubs roof fitted and wouldn't mind if I pop over...
I'm installing a poptop myself but the instructions were just scribbled on two sheets ofA4
