roof bed

Hi there I'm looking at making a elevating roof bed in a VW T5 Campervan. I can't seem to find on the web what wood to use. I'm imagining a ply, maybe birch or hardwood? (I've looked at 15mm softwood ply and it seems very flimsy.) Can anyone recommend the type of wood and thickness? Many thanks!

Hi everyone, I have a swb t5 auto 06 reg, thoroughly enjoying it but... It's a 2 berth at the moment as no bed was fitted in the elevating roof. Can anyone give me advice on making this myself? I'm looking to have the kind that's in one piece and on gas struts.

Hi guys, I have a lwb t5 with a reimo pop up roof. My question is should I buy a lwb or swb roof bed as I read somewhere that that the swb version goes up higher to give more head room. Many thanks Richard.

Hi, just fitted a replacement bed board for my Reimo pop top out of exterior ply. All good, but would be better if it matched the existing Reimo boards - which have the grey fluffy fabric I think is called 'teddy' (cos it's cosy innit). Anyone know where I can track some down? Exhausted the...
