So we have been tidying up some rust. Refitting the side and tailgate windows
without the trim, these trims just seem to hold water behind them so would prefer to go without and prevent the rust rather than the van looking "right". I like the look without to be honest.
Currently got my gear box off of my t4 2.5 (ACV) at the moment as have lost a load of hydrolic flud through the bell housing. As its off i've replaced the crank seal and also the clutch and sump gasket as its was all looking a little sorry for its self.
My only issue is with...
I have bought some of that rubber 'D' section to seal the front doors to quieten the ride and "Close like a Golf...
I have looked at several videos on YouTube and read accounts of how it's done. But they are NOT all the same. There seems to be at least a couple of paths on either door that get...
1998 1.9td, barn doors aren't fully sealing when shut.
I have bought a new seal for the rear, and I can still see light from the inside. How can I combat this?
I've considered bathroom silicone sealant perhaps?
Any help is appreciated.
I've had a tinted middle window installed on the off side and i've carpeted up to the edge of the bodywork and trimmed (although not very neatly!) I was hoping to finish off the edge with some 'U' shape rubber seal all around but as you can see in the photo, there is a load of silicon/glue that...
Got a Waco fridge that wouldn't sit the door flat against the main body. Looked at the seal and it looks different on the door side. Is it normal or is it knackered? I want to say it's knackered as it looks kinked, but on the other hand it's even so could be a design thing. Any ideas?
This is my first post so hoping for some help....
I have a 1996 T4 and the black seal around the pop top is hanging off. Having already tried to glue it with no success I wondered if anyone has suggestions i.e. if there is a particular glue that would work or any tips.
I've bought a new door seal from Just Kampers to replace the original that has split at the front top corner and is letting water & wind in.
Having had a look at the way it's installed it looks like I will have to remove or at least detach some of the interior trim around the door...
Good evening T4ers!
Just bought a seal for the top of the sliding door frame from JK. Noticed that along with the adhesive, there are holes for two screws.
Do standard trim clips fit in there? It looks like it on the cab door seals?
I know I'm being fussy and the adhesive will probably hold...
Best glue for rubber window trims side windows
Hi all the window seals on my aftermarket rear side windows when fitted were probably put on too tight and now they have been in for a few years they have shrunk slightly and split at the point where they were glued together, anyone recommend a...
My seals have perished on the barn doors of my T4... I read a post on here the other day that mentioned you can just pull the seals out, they're just there for aesthetics and aren't needed. I also read that a couple people did just that and basically their windows fell out when the door was...
Just a quick question, which may be stupid, but a question none the less...
Can one remove the weather seal around the front windscreen like you can on the rear barn doors, or tailgate glass? Does it actually contribute to the watertightness of the screen, or does it just tend to harbor...
Anyone got a side load door seal to suit a 1997 (P reg) T4 800 spesh?
Good condition please and cheap! T:
PM me please.
Will consider half decent seal as long as bottom is ok as mine has completely gone at step.
Have been working on our new van as a complete newbie for a little over a week now, on and off.
Must admit, when I first saw the inside of van, I thought the carpetting was a common sense way of keeping the noise out, warmth in and taking the bareness off the bare painted chassis.
When I really...
I have a leak in the the back that's driving me mad.
The leak is on the left hand side of the tailgate and comes through the carpet and rips onto the rear unit.
There are no holes in the chassis or roof and I'm pretty sure it's the rubber seal not functioning properly, the water...
looking to install some nice altro i got from vwnw 2 x 4m for £54 - bargain eh T: got the cloud, kind of off white with speckly bits, gonna match my white worktop.
The reason i'm doing this is I had a big milk spill that wasn't cleaned up right away due to being pi$$ed and not knowing whilst...
I need the lower seal which gies along and up one side of a sliding passengers side door.
Mine has been ripped off at some point and just wanted to stop noise and cold getting into the van.
