  6. Passat lowering kit

    All Other Vehicles
I've just bought an 07 plate high mileage Passat estate to use for work but the handling is very ropey and the NSF shocker is weeping a bit anyway. So I was thinking it might be worth getting a kit and changing all 4 shocks and springs. Can anyone recommend where/what to buy?
  7. Shock recommendations.

    Steering & Suspension
Last year I won a charity auction for a set of 45mm lowering springs and 'up rated' shock absorbers. Since fitted, the shock absorbing quality has been, literally, shocking! The van bottoms out on even the slightest dip in the road and as for potholes, don't even go there. I accept that the...

    Steering & Suspension
Hi guys, I need some friendly advice. My T4 is a panel van that has been converted to a full camper installation which includes ply units & a weighty RIB 3/4 bed in the back. I would describe the ride as bouncy and I can feel a heavier thud under compression which I think is the suspension...

  12. Why would you need a new shock absorber only on the front driver's side?

    Steering & Suspension
Why would you need a new shock absorber only on the front driver's side? More details: I'm trying to ascertain the most likely reason why a new shock, or "traction arm" as the seller calls it, was fitted to the driver's front side and not the passenger's side. This is for a T4 van I'm currently...
