Hi All,

I have a 1996 T4 1.9D that wont start. It will turn over for ages and then SOMETIMES starts, but more often the battery dies first. There seems to be a load of smoke coming out the exhaust when turning over on the key. The van will however start when bumpstarted and runs fine.

The starter has been playing up a bit recently and I have currently removed and rebiuilt to be installed tonight.

Anything else it could be??

glow plugs mate...

if you where not so far i would supply and fit a set for £85...

Glow Plugs

Just been throught ths one. Don't buy cheap ones, had a cheap set fitted then another set tyhree weeks later.

They are a pain to fit though
