hi peeps, i think i need a new MAF sensor for my recently converted 1.9 TDI transporter.

The engine is a 1Z from a passat.

Just wondered....

A. Are the Maf sensors sold on ebay with 12months warranty any good? has any1 tried one?

B. Should i go Genuine if the above are deemed rubbish

C. If not, which one do i need from Eurocarparts?? As they sellBosch ones (which arent poo - ) but dont list one for a 1Z, Only an AHU, which is same engine i thought??

cheers

no mate, swap was easy as pie :)

i've ordered a proper pierburg one now from my local vw parts place :) also ordered a new sump gasket with windage tray, new water temp sensor as mine's pooped also, and a few other little bits.......it's slowly becoming a really really good van, and as soon as all FC's have gone, and it runs nice with no leaks, the tuning can commence :)

yeah, i've grown this attitude recently where its just not worth feckin about with!!! Everythin i do now is genuine parts, or top quality pattern.

I've spent a fortune on this engine, making sure its right, so hopefully i'll get there soon :)
