Hi peeps

does fitting the PP injectors make it use more fuel,,

plus anyone explain how fitting new/different injectors makes such a big power difference or is it just on 2.5TDI"s

Wanting to fit em to our 1.9TD ABL

Your 1.9 is indirect injection and the injectors are completely different compared to them from a 2.5TDI,there are other options for your engine and tuning it.Keep searching on this and moreso specialist diesel tuning forums.
There are guys in norway extracting 200+BHP from the ABL and similar enginesA:

'Uprated' injectors for the 1.9 are a recon job, with the break pressures upped - although last quote I got was £40 a pop and that only supposedly helped when using the (thicker) veggie oil, with perhaps a 5% power increase.........

I guess the incresed flow rate for the thicker fuel would also indicate a reduction in MPG, but that would be a guess........... :)
