Hi All,

This is my first post with what I think is a unique problem.

I am trying to fix my not working 12V socket in the cup holder on my 63 plate T5.1 RAC van.

I know the usual fix is replacing the blown fuse under the passenger seat but my the whole fuse holder seems to have been chopped out of mine. Leaving two large (live?) wires, one smaller than the other, and two small wires, one red one red and black. Is all I need to do is to fit a 15A fuse holder between the wires and were good to go? I am also concerned about the live wires that were exposed, surely they are live when engine is powered on and shouldn't have been allowed to leave the RAC like that? What is the chunky red live wire for?

I was told that the Leisure Battery setup was removed from my van as it was leaking.

I have also found that the RAC snip all wires that were used for there equipment so I have been stripping all of them out.

I will upload a picture when home.

Any help appreciated!
