I have noticed that i'm getting a patch of water underneith the van, its towards the rear near the exhaust system. I have attached some photos. Does anyone know what this is and is it a problem?
The fluid isn't oil or petrol, looks and feels like water.
Your probably spot on there, with it being a Caravelle and there are vents through out the celling and floor, dunno if its worth an unscrew of that cover plate to see what's behind it?
if air con, if there is a filter or seal, may needs replacingH: modern vehicles loose water just like this from air con sytstem, leaves a pool of water on the drive
Under further inspection, looks like the gasket has gone sealing the cap plate on. Its the 2nd heat exchanger for the rear of the vehicle. It is water leaking, but the main engine coolant water. I've only had the van a week or so and brought it from a garage, so hopefully it will be covered under their 3 month warranty! Also noticed that the exhaust next to it is blowing slightly on the joint, lucky (if you can call it that) that section of exhaust needs to be removed for the heat exchanger gasket to be change, so hopefully address that problem at the same time.
as above thats a heater matrix inside a heater motor system for the rear of the van,you will have a pull up flap in the middle of the floor in the rear of the van,get it fixed asap
unlucky for you i sold one yesterday ,try will at tidy transporters as hes breaking a caravelle at the moment T:
Took it back to the garage today and they are going to sort it. I've told him he needs to put a new matrix in rather than a bodge it up with silicone. He's also sorting out the blowing exhaust.
