Hello! I recently inherited a 1999 T4 Syncro 2.5 that has been sat for quite some time. Went down to go pick it up and battery was dead (not surprising). RAC were called out and they charged it up, van started up and turned over then cut out straight away. Van has an after market immobiliser fitted, and the guy reckoned the issue was that we don’t have the remote key with the chip in it (but instead two “surfer keys” with no chips).

I’m not expert at all with this stuff, but can anyone give any advice on what I can do? Like I said, don’t have the remote key with chip so a bit stuck!

Thanks all :)

Look/post in the Electrical section....this is a "Technical" question, and you may get answers there, or search the threads in that section.
Easiest way is to rip the whole sh*t out.....that's what i did, and ended up with about 30 metres of "spare" wires.

Just trace out every wire gently and find where it has been spliced in to the original wiring loom. Reconnect the loom where the immobiliser was.
