Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me locate a flywheel for a 1998 2.5 petrol Syncro. Any help would be much appreciated.

It's the same as the AAB diesel engine just search eBay
That would be amazing but I don’t think it’s the same. I have contacted a couple of vw engine specialists and they couldn’t supply one and the gave me a part number 074 105 269 E
I am a newbie so could be wrong, but just going by the research I have done so far.

My bus is not a syncro but it is a 2.5 petrol ACU engine I have just converted mine to a manual and it fitted mine . The flywheel has timing marks on it so you have to turn it to get the hole's to line up on the crankshaft.

Thanks for the advice I will look into it further. Sounds like you are quite handy 👍🏻

Thanks. My engine looks as if it’s an AET 2.5 petrol so that may be where the difference is. I will keep you posted on my progress, if any! 🤞🏻
