Mollie is reluctantly up for sale. She is an automatic 2006 LWB T5 Transporter Shuttle with a 2.5 Td 130 engine. We have owned her for over 18 months and in that time have done the following:-

  • Removed the second row of seats and mounting points
  • Had the floor professionally ply lined and finished in purple Altro flooring
  • Retained the original VW 3 seater rear bench
  • Built full width bed frame that extends over rear seats when folded forward with huge hinged storage area
  • Fitted burgundy black out curtains throughout
  • Constructed kitchen pod behind driver seat with Smev sink and 2 hob burner
  • Full 12v split charge with leisure battery and selection of 12v and USB charging points
  • Fitted electric hook up under the bonnet with cabling back to the kitchen pod and fitted 240v sockets. Yet to fit consumer unit and leisure battery charger but have all the parts for this
  • Kitchen pod includes fresh and waste water containers and space for 2 gas bottles
  • Fitted 12v smart TV with DVD, USB etc
  • Professionally painted and fitted ABT clone front splitter
  • Professionally painted and fitted tailgate spoiler
  • Fitted popular VW 17" steels which we intended to band
  • Fitted chunky look chrome sidebars
  • Fitted retro style galvanised roof rack
  • Purple upholstered ottoman
  • Chippie's workshop games table (Monopoly and Scrabble) together with sequoia table leg system
  • Van-X bonnet bra
  • DRL headlights professionally fitted
Though we bought her from a dealer, she unfortunately did not come with a service history and has covered 277k miles to date.

In the interest of complete transparency we would like to disclose the bad points too. Shortly after the end of the warranty, we took her to a garage as we felt she was running quite rough when cold. Our garage plugged her into Vagcomm which revealed that 3 of her injectors are outside tolerance and she has occasional misfiring on 1 cylinder. She has also occasionally gone into limp mode which has been diagnosed as the turbo over boosting.

We are unaware of exactly what is required to return her to her former glory and it may be something as simple as new valve seals but she is regrettably up for sale as we are not in a financial position to commence any work.

This said she is perfectly drivable and we had a 700 mile round trip just over a month ago and will be travelling from South Devon to North Somerset for Vanwest VW festival tomorrow.

Viewing is highly recommended as the condition of the bus is very good for the year and mileage. She drives very well and the drive train and automatic box feel great.

We are offering her for sale with all the equipment listed above for a sensible price which is 2 1/2 times less than we have paid out on her with all the improvements.

Thanks for looking and please feel free to ask any questions or request any specific photos
