2007 VW Transporter T5 2.5 4Motion
176118

We have owned this van for about six years. Second owner (1st was National grid)
Selling due to renewing work van to newer 4Motion
Full prior National Grid service history
Private Service history since my ownership
It's been my work van and also occasional camping. (We have taken our rock and roll bed and cabinets out for the new van)
A few really small age related marks but generally a good clean solid van

The 2.5 five cylinder engine has gear driven cam so no timing belts to worry about

Good tidy workhorse with some added kit and well maintained, ready for work, or camper/day-van in the making. Either basic with our original carpeted rear or a perfect base to start again for full hit top end camper with all the mechanical running gear already updated and renewed ready for another 100k miles
Been very reliable for work and did us a great 3.5k mile camping trip to Germany in 2018

£11,000 ono

Original VW Equipment
2.5ltr five cylinder engine and six speed gearbox
Diff Locks for All Wheel Drive system
Electric Windows
Electric Mirrors
New Starter Battery
New Auxiliary Battery
Factory fitted split charge system for Aux battery
New seats from my 2yr old 17k mile T6 (Rare Folding twin passenger seat)
Recent wheels and good tyres from my 2yr old 17k mile T6 with VW hub caps
Van has 157k miles which won't be going up much as new van already in use
MOT due April 2020

Added Equipment / Modifications
Pendle Performance 170BHP Remap for better torque and fuel economy
Caravelle dual headlights fitted so low beam stays on with High beam. Fitted with relays direct from battery to avoid volt drop on original VW wiring. Now much brighter than originals

Rear door windows
Reverse sensors
Painted front and rear bumpers (Proper VW paint ready bumpers, not original grey ones rubbed down)
After market CD player (Original CD player included)
Parrot Bluetooth hands free kit installed with radio mute
Dash Cam Mini USB cable hard wired. Comes on with ignition
150 Watt 240V mains inverter
Starter Battery / Charging voltage indicator on dash
Quality German phone holder

I'm surprised there have been no responses to your ad. Looks like a good van, & the 5cyl 4Motions are valued by people who know their Ts.
Have you got it advertised in other places? Still for sale?

Yeah I think it's time of year and there are a few vans around at the moment.
I do love the 5cyl motor. My T6 may be quieter but gawd I miss the torque. The 5 is also better on fuel than the 6 ?!?! I think it's cos you don't need to give it much gas. It just pulls up hills.

Still shiney people...

Hiya,

Yes I'd not readvertised it due to the virus and planned to after we are all freed again but yes Its here.
Plan to refresh the MOT rather than just say it's extended due to the virus.
Only used occasionally since Nov and not at all during lockdown so mileage hasn't changed.
