52 Plate Multivan (September 2002)
Loving, caring home required for my beloved Multivan, which is in original unaltered and very good condition. I have had this van since 2004, when I purchased it for a great deal of money from LC Charles VW Van Centre in Crewe. It has the full VW service history with the book stamped and all the receipts. It has had one service by vdubT4’s in Bridgend, a VW specialist. Its last service was at Sinclair’s VW Van Centre in Swansea, just 2 weeks ago, which included a full service, new cambelt and water pump replacement at a cost of £954! The van has covered 148k miles faultlessly and runs like a dream, 95% of this mileage has been covered on motorway driving, to and from work between Cardiff and Swansea, along with half a dozen trips to Cornwall a year and a few trips to Biarritz.
It has the 2.5ltr 102bhp engine driving through a 5 speed manual gearbox, and as I said earlier runs like a dream, you’ll never need to dip the oil – it never uses any from one service to the next! Standard Multivan 7 seats – 2 captain seats up front, 2 removable with armrests rear facing as second row with stowage trays behind, 3 seat bench at rear and rear parcel shelf behind. 3 seat bench converts to full width bed. Standard pull out table with strip light over, 2No. 12 volt power sockets in rear, original curtains in bag used only twice. Nokia hands free kit fitted, which provides calls through the vans speaker system. Separate heating and ventilation in rear with separate controls. All rear windows have privacy film applied to the glass, professionally, the only modification made to the van. Original VW alloys, a little scuffed as you may expect for the vans age, with 4 brand new tyres. Van is finished in a light metallic blue, the nicest looking I believe, and the body generally in excellent condition barring a few minor scratches. The only body damage that could do with attention is a crack to the nearside front bumper, which is easily repaired but I’ve just not got around to it yet. Van has electric front windows, electric mirrors, electric sunroof and radio/cd player. Also have if wanted are a set of Thule roof bars.
Why am I selling such a lovely van...................................I ask myself the same question, over and over again! The honest answer is I’ve just changed jobs and my employer has provided me with a T5 Kombi, which is very nice, but does not have the build quality of the T4 in my opinion. However, the Kombi is free and the truth of the matter is I cannot afford to keep her just sitting on the drive just to use occasionally. I will be absolutely gutted when it is finally driven away, as it has been a fantastic van, and has been looked after better than the missus, well that’s what she says!
Just bought 6 months road tax which runs to the end of July, MOT runs to 31st August.
Asking price £9,750
Please don’t enquire unless you can offer a loving home.

Hard to say really, seems about right to me though.
It's hard to put a value on something that there are so few of.
It's not like you can look on Autotrader and see what "all the other Multivans" are selling for :D

Hi Neal,
Thanks for the kind words, got to sell it though. Do you think the asking price is reasonable?

Thanks for that, I guess it's the old cliche again, that it's worth whatever somebody is prepared to pay.
Ah well, I'm in no hurry to sell, so we'll have to see if there is any interest,
