Hi all recently had number 3 injector replaced due to a horrific missfire and poor starting issue.after collecting the van all was well and can was running alot better than it ever had alot more responsive and much better top end until roughly 7 days later when on the way way home from work I developed an aweful diesal knock and ended up being recovered on a tow truck.i had the van delivered back to the garage that carried out the injector replacement to find that(in there words)the retaining bolt for the injector had "just snapped".they apparantly started by removing the snapped bolt and replacing it to find the van had started to missfire again so in turn replaced the injector wich cured the missfire and returned my van.all of the second job was carried out free of charge as they obviously classed the breakage as due to there negligence.all seemed fine until my first motorway journey and I discovered that at 65mph-70mph ish I now have a chronic judder this judder clears as soon as you get to 80mph and is not apparent at any other speeds.there was no other faults or problems apparent but now I'm struggling to start the van from cold aswell.like I said when driving the van is faultless at all other speeds and once started runs fine.has anyone experianced anything similar?
I've bin to a string of "vw specialists"in the Coventry area since moving here including main dealer and a number of others and am reluctant to use any again my van allways seems to be away for days sometimes weeks at a time to be returned either not fixed or work I hadn't agreed to being carried out on it.anyone had experiance of simaler faults or can recommend someone in the surrounding area who could possible look at it before I return it the garage who carried out the work thanks for any advice

mine has high milage , but was getting the judder at about 1600-1800 revs then clearing as you booted it . ended up having all the injectors taken out and tested . all were ok . replaced all the seals and washers , and replaced the wiring loom , after that all was good , and still is , the injectors have to be set up properly though , special bit of kit . otherwise look through the forum there is alot of stuff on the dreaded judder , hope this helps

Had all the injectors out and the seals replaced and the injectors checked when I had the engine rebuilt and they were all fine it's had a new cylinder head and fuel pump not that long ago also.its bin on vagcom today and it's not showing any error codes atall.was hoping it was just going to show up a faulty sensor but I think that was just wishful thinking.
