hi wonder if anyone could help me its driving me nuts.

i have got a 1996 t4 800 special 1.9td abl engine and dka gearbox
the gearbox has completely blown on the way home from buying it and i cant find another box to fit .
is there any other model boxes of any of the vw range that will fit straight on i have seen 2.4 boxes on ebay but dont know if they will fit.
any help will be greatfull cheers
