Abs module help

The last letter is a revision code. In theory at least, all modules with a later letter at the end ~should~ be backward compatible with ones with an earlier code.

If you have VCDS you can code the module yourself ~but~ the issue may well be finding how your existing module is coded - if it's got to the "no communications" stage you may not be able to connect to it to read the coding. There are however a number of websites out there dedicated to people posting up existing coding for various vehicles, so you may find something to work from.

Have you driven it? I believe that some ABS faults only get cleared when the controller has successfully received inputs from the wheel sensors.

If you're a registered user, the Ross-Tech forums are a good place to ask questions about things like logins - they are generally pretty helpful (though a little sarcastic at times!).

Agreed - I would try to fix the coding before looking for other problems.

Have you tried an internet search for your module number plus the word "coding"? Unlikely as it would seem there is actually at least one site dedicated to people's own self-reported coding (IIRC it's Swedish - those crazy scandinavians again) so you may get lucky. Or you may find someone here with 379P/R/S that can tell you theirs (mine is 379F so it probably won't help at all).
