I only have 1 key for my T4 and think it would be wise to get a spare with a immobiliser transponder
Question is how much should I be paying? Bloke at work said our local key cutting shop does them for £30 :* is that about right?

I thought they were a lot more than that. I need 2nd key but it was just
"on the list" as glitzy bits come first dont they?T:

£35 for a 2.4d key, up to £55 for 2.5 TDI.

Last round of research I did Timpsons wanted £65 for the 2.4d key and couldn,t do the 2.5 TDI key

Vw wanted £120 plus vat for either, plus a selection of other information inc inside leg measurement.

I need a "flip key" for an 02 plate Mk4 Golf. If anyone can point me in the direction of a sensible quote, I'll stop driving around with my one useable key.
