Having replaced my standard Beta head unit with a JVC one - I followed the advice and tracked down an amplifier for the aerial.

http://www.bluespot.co.uk/install/show_model.asp?id=324

However, the item purchased does not fit as the van's aeriel.

I phoned up the company, who basically told me it was my problem.

Can anyone confirm if an amplifier is neeeded in every case?

Ben,

I replaced my head unit with a Pioneer one and the reception is poor. I miss my Radio 4 in teh morning!. I have fitted a unit like the top one in your link which connects up teh can-bus. Also fitted an in line ariel adaptor which is ok but not solved the problem. Moving on to an internal powered ariel. I think the in screen ones are pretty poor. Hope this cures it.

I had the same problem but couldn't be *rs*d to wait a couple of days to give them a call (sounds like it was just as well!) Put the wrong one back in the packet and went to my local Halfrauds and swapped it there I:

Radio works fine now T:
