Hi folks, your thoughts please.

As the title states.

I have a 2.8 VR6 Auto on a 99.

When the engine is running there is a hissing sound from underneath the drivers side Dashboard behind the clocks.
Having stripped dashboard down, engine running, no air can be felt. Upon the depressing of the Accelerator pedal,
The hissing stops Then returns Unless the engine is under load ?

There is no Problem with the brakes, And does not disappear when pressing the brake Pedal.

Thoughts please?

either vacuum pipe or valve, do you have cruise control, if so I think they are vacuum operated on the VR6, check the valve and pipe on the brake pedalT:

Check items 8 to 12 (you won't have the section to the clutch pedal on an auto)
