how can i test my alarm on my van , to make sure it works , its factory fitted.

not 100% but i believe that if you leave your windows down then lock your van then open with the inner door release then it should go off

My alarm is operated by my Vw key I lock the doors by the central locking by the key when the alarm is active I open the doors with the key in the old fashion way by using the lock as the door opens the alarm goes off Hey presto !

Just to say my alarm is the cambus type .

I set mine off the other week when away camping.

I locked the van before bed using the remote (I usually press the button inside) then when I started the van before getting out next moring to remove the thermal screen the alarm went off.
