Dear all
Toying with the idea of alloys for my van , had a quote for an additional premium of £120 from my insurers - didn't want to know about load rating etc, their reason for the hike was the increased liklehood of theft because my van would be more desirable
Part way through a policy I guess I have little choice, but it seems a large amount (40% of original premium)
Your thoughts ladies and gents?

Direct Line charged me £40 extra for alloys.

Direct Line wouldnt insure my bus, even thought ive got my car insurance with them. Im with Brentacre i just had to tell them ive got alloys no extra charge.

Brentacre for me too. No cost for alloys or other cosmetic mods.

May depend on what wheels you have - I've got standard VW alloys on mine & insurance co (AXA) are not bothered, unless they are aftermarket in which case they want to know the spec' including load rating/tyre size ect.

I have the 16 OEM wheels. 2gether insurance not bothered. Free addition to policy after I found them to be missing from the policy when I took it out.
