Hi there

New to forum so be nice :p lol

I've recently had a leccy fault on my 1997 1.9td abl, came out one morning and the battery was dead.

It's had a new battery and starter motor as the last starter motor killed the last battery.

Haven't got as far as testing the alternator output yet due to the lovely weather we're having in kent I:, but the battery light doesn't come on when the ign is turned on, and I have a constant flashing oil light.

I have however discovered the seemingly common, chaffed to death blue and red wire from the alternator plug, so my question is......

What function does the blue wire have? I know it's for the battery light but what are it's states with Ign on and off, and I've read from a brilliant sticky on here about the DOP system, explaining my flashing oil light (broken red wire).

Any help will be greatly appreciated
