Just got myself an active sub for the van and i have it in my mind that I want to be able to switch it on and off via a switch on the dash - Chili Peppers with bass = good :ILU:, Thomas the tank engine stories with bass - not so much.

Question is, where do I put the switch? in the power feed cable or in the remote lead from the back of the head unit?

Cheers

on the remote lead is a good idea, particularly as its already in the dash so easy to wire a switch in

Can't remember exactly but on mine I select sub and turn it right down till it says "ATT" or something very similar, this turns the amp off altogether.

I've done this on my van as all amps switchable so when camping, option to save power if not on hook up.

Keeps it more "factory" though if you just switch sub off for thomas although a bit of low down power may help him up the hill!
