Hi all, having read a few hours worth of threads on here i have ordered the blanking plate from Brickwerks (along with some other goodies) and im going to have a go at blanking the EGR on my 2002 2.5TDI AJT this weekend.

The threads have been great, but most of the pics have long gone, therefore i wondered if anyone has a link to some pics or even a video clip that can help the process.

Thanks in advance

Easy job just follow the stainless pipe from your inlet to exhaust manifold, unbolt it on the manifold and slip the blanking plate in,or just pull the vacuum pipe off the egr valve and shove an old bolt in it

It will be full of black goo.
Better to take it off and clean it out before fitting the blanking plate.
If you just blank it, the goo hardens and eventually breaks off and enters the engine!

May as well remove the head and inlet manifold too then as the goo will be right down to the valves A: personally I think unless your going to strip and clean it all your better off not looking for trouble
