I'm not sure I want acres of carpet in the back of the bus so has anyone lined their ply with anything other than carpet ? Or anyone got any good ideas what else to use ?
Anyone used mdf tongue and groove panels instead ? Painted ply ? Varnished birch Ply ?
Nothing wrong with the carpet but I have to agree with you about having too much of the stuff everywhere. I ended up building more and more shelves, cupboards etc... Just to cover it up a bit!!
I did look into alternatives but couldn't find anything that covered up imperfections in the ply/metal as well as the carpet.
Vinyl or leather, maybe a mix as you'll end up with 'acres' of something else! Must admit, its a pain with dogs as the hairs imbed themselves and I've been thinking of a change.
You could always buy Trimtech plastic side panels ....but at £800 they aint exactly cheap I:
We used to fit pre-moulded GRP lining panels to the inside of ambulances when i was building them , but again aint gonna be cheap making the moulds etc .
I just painted my panels in satin black wood paint ,
Job done easy to maintain too T:
