I had my exhaust repaired recently at a general muffler shop and one of the welds broke. They told me it's because one of my transmission mounts is shot and my engine is moving too much. I took some vids and it looks like both upper mounts are moving a lot. If someone could have a look and let me know what you think I would appreciate it.

I also have some used mounts but I am not sure how to tell if they are good or not. Can anyone weigh in on that?

You better change the mounts before your driveshafts wear out. These are quite expensive so you might want to look for used ones.

Are there any differences in the 5cyl TDI mounts? I'm looking for mounts for my ACV engine, but online I've found mounts listed for AJT AUF AYC and AYY (both manual and auto) with all the same part numbers, but the ACV is different. As far as I'm aware, all those codes are for 5cyl diesels of both 88 and 102 flavours, so is there a difference with the ACV mount?
Thanks

I can't see any difference externally between them. I doubt there would be any difference internally to be honest.
