Would the wheels off an A8 d2 be load rated for a T4??

surely a V8 engined car would weigh a fair amount...
just a thought.
TIA

I thought the same some years ago, until someone pointed out the A8 was made of aluminium and relatively light. Now, if you could find some off of a Phaeton, that's a real lump and would easily be enough for a T4.

Curb Weight : 1725 kg
That's on all 4 wheels.

Not sure how much extra load it would take....but with my front axle rating being over 1500kg....I don't think the A8 wheels would pass.

Assuming it takes an extra load of 500kg (4 adults/luggage), that's still well below the 2800kg of a T4.

No, I haven't tried the Audi wheels, I saw them for sale, asked the question about load rating, got an answer, and moved on.

Thanks for all the input.

Chris.

I see so many T4's with dodgy under load rated Audi wheels on, makes me cringe every time, especially when theyve often apparently got a comical amount of poke out past the arches going on, not a good look.
