[VW410]

Hi, I got these items, and have unscrewed the head unit, and fit the plug into it and it fits perfect into one of the ports, but then what? Nothing happens, I have plugged my phone into the aux whilst playing music but I cant get it to work? tried pressing media and everything but nothing works?? Do I have to do something with the software?:* I also have a Parrot basic system installed but I cant see that being the problem as that isn't plugged directly into the head unit. Any help will be T:T:

Not 100% sure, but I think it needs to be activated with the VCDS.

I had the same issue. I got told easiest fix was new head unit. Might be possible to get it switched on though.

I've definitely seen a coding option to activate AUX in. In all 3 vw head units I've looked at, rcd210, rcd310 and rns510. So I'm pretty sure having someone with VCDS look at it would be the cheapest option. It's just a 10 minute job.
