Why are they so expensive compared to other engines?

I have a stock 2.5 AXD engine and am looking to replace the turbo hoses because of the dodgy joints, my thoughts were to get a replacement silicone hose kit.

Forge do a nice kit at a reasonable price (£165)

But it states it does not fit AXD / AXE engines, only BNZ / BPC engines. The only one I have seen for an AXD engine is the Darkside kit but for a standard engine is comes in at £370!

Its probably a dumb question but how come there is such a large price difference? Surely they cant be that different can they?

The Darkside kit also replaces the hard pipes also and converts all the bayonet push in fittings to hose clip type.

Are your OE hoses coming un-clipped?

My hoses have popped off in the past and some of them are now held together with self tappers Martin! I suspect my EGR valve is leaking a little so I am looking into options to replace / remove it and replace the hoses while I am doing it.

Been looking into this too as my AXB keeps popping off and one has a leak.
Tricky choices but have considered Darksidedev as their kit is both sides of the turbo and if you opt for their inter cooler the pipe kit is over £50 cheaper so inter cooler is only £150.
