i have just spent out on a ball joint tool which will be put out to forum members for a fee
could a list of other members that rent these tools out be made a sticky T:
Good idea, and some one is already doing it i see. I am having my bushes done tomo, paying for a garage to do it, but when ball joints come about i will look this up T:
Dandare has one and so does Muddi Camel. I will need one in the next few weeks because my near side upper is creaking like mad! If we get a list going i will make the title a little more descriptive and sticky it T:T:T:
I'm all for making it a sticky.
I have the tool available for hire.
I am in Dunstable in Bedfordshire and could even offer yard space to do the job.

Hi,
I have this ball joint tool available for hire. I will post it out if you need.
It's designed to press out the upper ball joint, which is usually very rusted into place. The new ball joint also needs to be pressed in - again this tool will do that.
Hi All, I will be offering fitting service for the Ball joint in the swansea area as soon as new tool arrives, can be done at my garage or can come out to you if needed.
Anyone near manchester know of anyone who can do the nearside upper ball joints for us as a couple of garages we have tried have not been able to. Alternatively could hire the tool off you and take it to the garage??
Cheers
i have a top ball joint tool i can hire out locally for a small fee (beer tokens and cover fuel costs )also have a bearing press, engine crane and a vag-com cable pm me if needed
Hi I am putting my t4 in a garage monday 31st for a bottom ball joint. They have not seen the job yet should they have the tool in their kit, or will they jack it up and discover it is a Special tool for the t4s ?
I rented a ball joint tool at short notice from Muddi Camel, it arrived next day on overnight postage. The tool worked perfectly and saved me loads of time. He returned my deposit at once without any hassle and was even very patient about the fact that dx couriers were rubbish with the return.
Highly recommended.
