I used an old basha and cloth-taped some bungies to it to make a cheeky shelter for cooking under out of elements. There is a removable pole in between the doors from outer corners to stop them from closing for any reason. The coverage needs a tweak or two but I'm very happy with it to be getting on with. I also intend to make a larger fixed rear awning which will fold out from my rear roof rack bar which will have space inside for table,chairs and entrance. I have been looking at extending washing line poles with much interest in wilkinson. My partner thinks I'm crazy, she is probably right. I will post some pics of it when complete. Still researching how it is going to be using what materials..
