Hi
I have a 2008 T5 1.9. It has developed a intermittent wiper fault. I have VCDS and a scan shows the Intermittent stop switch is showing a fault. It is my belief this is located in the Body Control Module (BCM) Can anyone confirm if this is the one on the driver side under the trip near the light switch?
This is the error VCDS reported

Address 09: Cent. Elect. Labels:. 7H0-937-049.lbl
Part No: 7H0 937 049 AB
Component: BORDNETZ SGVER 1.0 1201
Coding: 0000004
Shop #: WSC 02736 790 00000
VCID: 72BDD86C68BC8C27989-5160

2 Faults Found:
00077 - Windshield Wiper Stop Switch (F229)
004 - No Signal/Communication
01598 - Drive Battery Voltage
002 - Lower Limit Exceeded

I assume the part number given refers to the BCM unit rather than the stop switch?
I have two options to replace. Found a company who will test and repair or get a unit off fleabay.
Thanks

I don't know for sure, but I suspect that F229 is built into the motor, and is not part of J519 (the BCM). The reason I say this is that typically VW treat J519 as a "black box" - they don't tend to identify internal subcomponents (and also as far as I know there are no switches within J519, though there are plenty of relays).

It's not conventional to call a relay a switch, but you can call it what you want!

As I said above, VW do not typically "name" internal components within J519, so I would be very surprised if it is within that module. I did take a look at the wiring diagrams for a 2006 AXD but F229 is not identified separately on those. You might get better luck looking at Elsa for your exact model year.
