Anybody running their vans on Biodiesel?

I have a year 2000 2.5L 88bhp and was wondering if it was possible?

Are any mods needed? What are peoples experiences?:dunno:

I have (1.9 td) and my friend runs his 2.5 102 on it (for nearly 2 years on B100)

Just make sure it is well reacted, no soaps or water in and it is excellent.

Properly made biodesel works in any diesel engine without modification.

Running SVO (straight vegtable oil) or WVO (waste vegtable oil) does require engine modification.

As far as SVO required there aren't any engine mods, the modifications are to the fuel delivery system.

Veg oil is a lot thicker viscosity that road fuel so essentially the modifications are either to heat it and thin it or to start the engine on road fuel then switch to the veg oil.

Biodiesel is made with methanol which makes a chemical reaction and changes the composition of the oil into FAME - fatty acid methyl esters.
