No clearance issues, at least a 1/4" gap and its lined with that veltrim material.

 

 

Love the van! I'm doing something similar with mine soon, just wondered if you get any rubbing at all with those size wheels?

 

No rubbing what so ever, they are massive though - speedo reading changes by by 10%

I like the look of the banded steel wheels and tyres, was this chosen for aesthetics or practical reasons? They do look very durable indeedA:

 

Totally for looks with a dash of practicality thrown in, if I used 20" wheels they would buckled in no time due to living in the sticks,..

Why did you decide to go for the same size tyres front and rear, despite the difference in wheel width? Did you consider 225/70/16s on the front? Surely then you'd have got the 'stretch' identical front and rear?

Body shop colour coded it and fitted the spoiler, though its not a big job to fit.

 

Nice to see you got rid of the banded wheels and off road tyres looks way better now imo

Winter wheels (16" VW Miyato alloys with Vredestine Comtrac Snow Winter tyres) on early, decided to get them spray black to see how it would look

Why did you get rid of the all terrain tyres on the steel banded wheels? Loved the look! Was there any advantage to them i.e. good in muddy conditions, say on beaches etc? Did you need to add any spaces? I have standard t32 springs like your so rides quite high.
