Afternoon All
I've trawled through various posts but just looking for a little clarification.
From what I've researched I can get 200-210bhp max out of the BNZ injectors.
So I've been looking on fleabay for up-grade options for the turbo.
It appears the BPC turbo will do 174BHP.
Some sellers are offfering the BNZ turbo with billet compressor wheels and other mods (presumably) quoting 210BHP possible.
Then theirs always the option to buy a BPC core and build it up into a BPC turbo.
Price wise 200-450.
So has anyone experience with these sellers or can someone through experience offer advice please?
Also a mapper in the Wiltshire/Avon/Somerset are?
Many thanks
Simon

What is your power goal ?
I've managed 290@620nm out of a mates bnz but it required injectors, ic, exhaust and the turbo.

Festa......just the man!
Wow that some 'upgrade'.
I'm looking at keeping standard injectors for now (unless you know of a cheap/reasonable priced set)
I was looking at 200bhp which will be a nice power gain after 9 years at 130!
So any views on turbo, I want similar spool up times.
With a billet wheel it should help I believe.
Any experience with the ebay jobs
Thanks

The 130 will have a smaller turbo thanthe 174 but it is more restrictive. The bigger turbo will have more puff but it will be a trade off with a bit of lagg. It's not going to be a huge margin but noticeable. I wouldn't bother hybriding the bnz as you'll get 200 out of the bpc with the standard injectors. If you want more then do the injectors ....get some bpc injectors as these will be good for 250-260 and any more get the bpc injectors modified with larger nozzles (farrid 50's) and that would see the 290, your could always find v10 injectors as these have a bigger nozzle from standard and should still see 290. Turbo would have to be a hybrid gtb1856 which tdi turbo's in verwood put together with known components with a warranty. There akso setup correctly on a flow bench. Ic would be either a forge, wagner or airtec but other generic ic's could also do as well. Exhaust ppt for a 2.5" with a single box. Dump the bnz camshaft and fit an axd/axe as the profile is different

Thanks for this very helpful. The v10 injectors, Toureg?
Funny spoken with tdi turbos but seemed price was top-end imo.
Interesting about the camshaft, would really only look to do that if it was worn, however is the cam timing the same and what benefit is there to the swap, more inlet duration?
Bet that embarrasses some 'sports car' drivers!
Cheers

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!please
OK so thing were going great then I got a limp mode and engine light on!
On checking I saw the stop screw on the actuator for the vacuum for VNT had fallen out.....
So fitted another and I've been adjusting it but still on occasion get limp mode.
fault code 000665-Boost pressure regulation P0299-000-control range not reached-mil on????
Symptoms, if I rev the engine in gear(s) to 3k seems of, however don't rev and short shift especially up hill and limp-mode.
Any ideas on how I can set this correctly please?
Thank you

An gtb1856 will get you 290 with the injector upgrade but that's a hybrid turbo. You won't get 300bhp from a standard bpc

So thanks for the replies but I'm a little confused:*.
My issue is the stop screw on the vacuum actuator dropped out and I've now got random limp mode.
No issues before this running like a dream, van had been mapped to suit changes
I've fitted another stop screw but obviously not got it set right.
Is there a way to set it?
Thanks again

You can do it but you will need vagcom...basic settings in engine 011 and you need to look at the differetual pressure produced on boost and off boost.I think from memory the pressure needs to be between 120-160mb. If the vanes are closed too much then it will choke the engine and if the vanes are too far open it will go to under boost
