Brake wear warning light on, on my 2000 reg 1.9td T4

Checked front nearside wheel and the wire has been shorted out , checked the front offside wheel and can't find a connector.

Does anyone know if there is only one wear indicator? According to my handbook they are only fitted to the front wheels.

If there is only one and it is shorted out, what else can bring the warning light on?

There are 2 positions as said above mate.

You can repair the loom, or the alarm can be turned off with vagcom.
