My 2004 t5 2.4 130. Needs a new turbo and camshaft. Has 92,000 miles. VW maintained. In the last couple of months i have changed the drive shaft, stub shaft and intercooler. All genuine VW. I Just had vw mechanics look at it and tell me its a broken cam shaft and turbo. I dont wanna put anymore money into it. So its gotta go.
Any ideas of how much roughly this is to fix. VW are talking thousands.

£1918 inc vat to do camshaft, buckets etc, flush engine, change oil, change injector seals, add cost of turbo

What was exact diagnosis if you don't mind me asking and can you check and see what oil has been used over its full "vw" service history?
