Have been told that this can be done by fitting a separate rocker switch next to the timer that will supply 12v to the yellow trigger wire on the timer which will turn heater on but without the 1hr limit.
does anybody know if the heat control would still work by doing this, and how does the D2 actually sense when the cabin temp is warm enough ? is it via the timer unit or is there a sensor/thermostat inside the actual heater unit ?

i added a rcoker switch as you suggest, saves some juice from the leisure battery as otherwise the unit is permanently powered.
not sure if the stat is in the d2 or the controller, if you download the install instrucions from the eber site it details the wiring required for the rocker switch. should be able to tell from the wiring diagram where the stat is. my d2 is installed next to the driver seat and maintains temp fine..
