Dear all, I wonder if someone can help me.

Situation is that I have a 2005 shuttle with the 104ps 1.9 in. It has covered 177k but at some time in the past it has had a replacement engine.

The van was remapped by Martin at Pendle Performance, who immediately spotted that the cam sensor was not working due to the engine not immediately firing up. As per martins instructions, I've had a new genuine cam sensor fitted but my garage ate telling me that the Ecu is repeatedly throwing up following codes

19463 - cam pos sensor g40 no signal p3007 intermittent

The mechanic says he's concerned that the issue might be that the replacement engine and Ecu might not match.

I've done a search on this but cannot find anything that's pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks
Steve

Nothing what so ever to do with a replacement engine etc etc, problem is "Cam Sensor" now this could either be the sensor itself but as you have fit a new "GENUINE" sensor we can rule this out, next thing is the wiring, these vehicles can be prone to corroded connections and spit wires.

With it having an engine replacement maybe the wiring might have been trapped or damaged when engine pulled out and put back in.

If I can help at all I will do.

Regards
Martin
