just wondered if any one had tried useing camping matts for insulating there van.ive always found camping mats to be a handy cheap sorce of foam. normally you can pick them up for £2-3 each and you can even get foil backed ones which i thought would be good for this instance

outher good benafits i was thinking were easy to cut, alredy have themal properties and sometimes are duel density for heat and sound,should be easy to stick useing spray glue
thin so could probably use something else in there aswell.

so anyone tried it before?

Pretty sure I've seen a few threads in the workshop area with people using them so yep...... been done before! T:

ar cool ive had a good search but couldnt find anything

i was thinking of doing flash ban then the camping matt then recycled plastic wool then maybe a final layer of the foil bubble rap. is that over kill?

I use camping mats for window blinds - insulation is great with just a single layer T:

Can't see any reason why you could not multi layer on the metal panels
