Hi there.

We went to the Italian Lakes, few years ago now (April 2014). Anyway we did spend a night at Lake Maggiore - stayed at Camping Conca D'Oro: http://www.concadoro.it/en/
Was a site where you could use the ACSI camping card:

Here is a photo of our campervan at the site:

Like I said, a few years ago now, but from memory wasn't very busy (there seemed a lot of pitches, but not that many occupied. Pretty sure toilet facilities were clean and my husband bought bread from the onsite shop and got himself a coffee.

We had came from Lake Como (visited Swiss Miniatur on our way there) and the following day we visited Stressa before going to Lake Orta. Stayed at Camping Royal near Lake Orta (also a site for ACSI camping card, but don't see it listed with them any more)
Site we used at Laike Como was Camping Spiaggia.

Hi, just planning our trip for next year,

any recommendations for quietist campsites on Lake Maggiore, also we will be stopping off somewhere around Nancy and also just before the Stelvio Pass.

So any family friendly campsites suggestions ?

thanks
I know you said Lake Maggiore, but we stayed here for one night which is about 1h 30mins from maggiore and it was very nice.

Pizza place next door, reception with sky TV, they even put the football on for us and reception sells ice cold beers.

Only stayed one night as we made our way to Lake Como the next day.
