Lucky enough to have got myself a passenger captains chair to replace the double I have in the front. However, both armrests are broken and spin 360 degrees. Have taken off the plastic end caps from where the arm attaches to the chair and approx 1" into the pipe is some sort of bolt/torx head?? How do i get it off !

Also anyone out there used these to repair the said armrests???

Cheers in advance!!! ;)

An allen key will fit in the bolt on the arm rest, not sure what size, probably about 5mm. Only tightened mine up today so know it works. Also check out this link http://www.bluebird-type2.co.uk/t4 interior.htm sells the same bracket as you've seen on ebay, though for a little more. I've heard they do the job nicely...good luck.T:

I used the bracket from the ebay link you gave, and found that it didn't fit... I went back to the seller, and he said that there's a difference in the seats between the caravelle and transporter captains seats (which it didn't mention in the advert...). After some swearing and widening the hole, I did get it to 90% OK, and it does do the job, but don't expect them to be as strong at the original fitting.
