I love how VW/Audi put their part numbers on all their mouldings.
And it would normally help me replace those bits that are damaged but this time I need a little help.
I came to remove the stereo to check for speaker connections. It became very apparent the part of the centre console that houses all the buttons, heater control sliders etc was damaged at some point in the past and glued back together.
The cunning fox used just enough glue to hold it together as long as none of the parts were removed.
Imagine a jenga pile when you take out the wrong block.
That's what I have now.:(
And the part number usually stamped on the side is only partly there.
Even google can't help with the part number I have left.
It's an early console - before the heater control dials. Lots of gaps for extra switches etc.
Can anyone help me identify where I can get one please?
She's a '93 'k' reg and she's a bit poorly.

Just as I was cussing whoever had done it I pulled up a small bit of cardboard which had been wedged into one of the holes.
Business card of an electrical automotive lecturer from a college in London.
Is this the smoking gun?
