Hi,
I am trying to change the fuel filter on my 2.5tdi.
However I am stuck at the 2nd hurdle. I dont have clear access from the top of my engine bay down to where the fuel filter is located.
I have a large metal box with small diameter metal pipes going into it. Great technical description I know.

Does anyone have any ideas? I was trying to get this done this evening.

Thanks

Paul

Yea, I looked at that first. However after he has removed the plastic cover he has space down to the fuel filter. I dont.

Its pretty tight.. if you have to you can remove the grill and headlight in a few minutes which will give you more handroom. If you remove the grill youll need to undo the 5 philips screws (3 on top and 2 at the bottom front). Headlight is an 8mm socket. Use the plastic grill removal tool located in beneath the wheel wrench in its plastic case... Slot the plastic tool in and give a tug and pull it off its 4 lugs.

Thanks for that.
Grill and headlight are off. I can just about see the filter and get more of a grip on it.
If I get out of work early enough tomorrow I will hopefully complete the job.

Has anyone else got any more tips?

Thanks
