Is it possible to just change the water pump on its own? I know most people change this when doing the cambelt but my van had a cambelt last year just when i bought it and i don't think the water pump was done.

Is it a big job and an idea on rough costs to do it?

Cheers for the advice everyone. I'll make sure to do the belt as well as the pump then. Sounds like it will be an expensive job though

Anyone got a rough idea of cost for cambelt and water pump. I'm guessing around £400+?

If the belt and tensioners were all done last year, you will only need a belt, will save a little bit! Not sure where you are but a vw chap in Worcester is very good on the labour let me know if any help?

If you want any kind of warranty then you had best change the lot, belt, tensioners, guide rollers and pump. False economy not to.T:
