Hi there I'm having a little trouble with my 1993 2.4 aab. The temperature gauge reads 110 after a good driveand in the summer my head gasket failed and also the head had cracked. After getting it back on the road with a new head and gasket water pump and rad the temp gauge reads 90 but if I go on a motor way it goes up to 110. Is this normal?? Also I'm not sure if the lower electric water pump is working does this affect the cooling in any way ?? Any help welcome! Thanks Dave

Start simple ...are the vanes behind the radiator opening when the engine warms up, and if so , are the cooling fans cutting in at about 85-90 degees ? On my 94 AAB 2.4 fan fuses are behind the N/S headlight ( just follow the big wires ! ) After that , its an elimination process ....

Next port of call would be , for me ....is the coolant circulating ?? ( Water Pump ..)
